Hospitality Partnership Programme
Helping Hotels, Resorts and Villas Manage Community Cats Humanely
Many hotels, resorts, villas, and tourism businesses in Barbados share their properties with community cats.

While these cats can help control rodents and often become beloved by guests and staff, unmanaged populations can lead to concerns about breeding, noise, health, and welfare.
Safe Cats of Barbados has developed a professional Community Cat Management Programme designed specifically for the hospitality industry.
What We Provide
Our team works with hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, and tourism properties to:
• Assess existing cat populations on site
• Implement Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programmes
• Provide health checks and veterinary care where needed
• Maintain colony records and population monitoring
• Advise on feeding stations and colony management practices
• Help reduce nuisance behaviours associated with breeding cats
• Support positive guest engagement and welfare standards

Why Partner With Us?
A managed colony provides significant benefits:
✔ Reduced breeding and population growth
✔ Fewer complaints relating to fighting, spraying, and mating behaviours
✔ Improved welfare of cats living on the property
✔ Natural rodent control
✔ Demonstrates commitment to responsible and humane animal welfare
✔ Positive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) credentials
A Partnership That Gives Back
What makes this programme unique is that every partnership helps cats beyond your property.
Income generated through our Hospitality Partnership Programme is reinvested directly into community TNR projects across Barbados, helping lower-income communities that care for stray and community cat colonies but lack the resources to fund sterilisation and veterinary care.
By partnering with Safe Cats of Barbados, your business is not only improving conditions on your own property—it is helping reduce suffering and overpopulation across the island.
